President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali ahead of the 13th Africa CEO Forum scheduled to begin on Thursday.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that he was received at the Kigali International Airport by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, and Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.
Other officials who welcomed the President included the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, the Nigerian Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna, and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare.
The Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is regarded as one of the biggest gatherings of African business leaders, investors, and policymakers. This year’s theme is “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”
During the forum, President Tinubu is expected to speak on “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will discuss Nigeria’s economic reforms and development plans. He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with African and global business leaders while promoting regional cooperation, African unity, and private sector-driven development across the continent.
