Students from various schools Katsina State, showcased their exceptional spelling skills during a keenly contested Spelling Bee Competition organized by the schools management.
The competition, which was the culmination of a long-term program, saw students from Nursery, Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and Senior Secondary Schools participate. After a rigorous selection process, four students from each category made it to the final round.
The final Spelling Bee competition took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Virtue Series Publishers Limited conference hall in Kaita Plaza, Katsina. The winners in each category were: Safiyya Aminu Wali (Nursery), Chimdalu Jason (Lower Primary), Sophia Chukwudi (Upper Primary), and Mitchelle Chukwudi (Senior Secondary).
The competition coordinators, including Moses M. Agber, Benard Moses, Odoh Chidiebere, and Blessing David Omoh, ensured that the event was conducted fairly and without bias. They confirmed that the winners were chosen based on their spelling prowess.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that the founder of Virtue Montessori Model Schools, Mrs. Dorcas Bosode Frank, expressed her delight at the students’ performance. She encouraged the winners to remain focused on their studies and urged those who didn’t win not to be discouraged.
Mrs. Frank also commended the efforts of the schools teachers, stating that their hard work and dedication were instrumental in the students’ success. She appreciated the parents’ support and encouraged them to continue prioritizing their children’s education.

Under the ‘World Drills Spelling Bee Competition’ program, the four category winners were awarded gifts and recognition after emerging victorious in the final round of the competition.
Renowned author and educator Mrs. Dorcas Bosede Frank, CEO of Virtue Series Publishers Ltd, founded and organized the Spelling Bee Competition. The event was sponsored by various arms of her brand, including Virtue Montessori Model School, Dorcas Virtue Foundation, Fruitful Field Multipurpose Global Services, and the Dorcas Bosede Frank Brand.
