Hon. Sirajo Ado, the chairmanship candidate for Jibia Local Government Area under the APC ruling party in Katsina State, met with stakeholders of the Jibia Traders Union on Monday, January 13, 2025. The meeting aimed to gather advices on de, koveloping business activities in the area if Ado succeeds in becoming chairman.
Ado’s campaign, titled “Dikko Agenda” with the slogan “Jibia First,” vows to follow the footsteps of Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda in serving the community. Ado assured the union that he will utilize their suggestions to develop businesses, aligning with Governor Radda’s efforts to improve the sector.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that as the former secretary of Jibia Traders Union, Ado thanked the leaders for their contribution and requested their advices in his candidacy. He emphasized the importance of cooperation to move the community forward.
The Jibia Traders Union presented a special donation to Ado, and Chairman Alhaji Sama’ila Mai Masara praised Ado’s passion for community development. Masara described Ado as a patriotic person dedicated to assisting the populace, with goals extending beyond local government development.
Alhaji Sanusi Moba, a stakeholder of the Jibia Traders Union, highlighted Ado’s contributions to the development of the Jibia market, an international market used by thousands worldwide.
The meeting was attended by various dignitaries, including Secretary of Jibia Local Government Malam Muhammad Lawal and Chairman of the APC party in Jibia Local Government, Hon. Nasiru Almustafa Danye.
The local government elections in Katsina State are scheduled to take place on February 15, 2025, as announced by the Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission.
