The Katsina State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KTARDA) has participated in the 17th National Agricultural Show held at the National Agricultural Showground, Tudun Wada, along Keffi Road in Nasarawa State.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that the Katsina delegation comprised KTARDA officials, crop and livestock farmers, and commodity associations such as Maize, Sorghum, Millet, and Onion groups.
Also in attendance were representatives of the State Fadama CARES project and the Technology Incubation Centre, Katsina. The state’s exhibition attracted a high number of visitors, including individuals, corporate organizations, investors, and entrepreneurs who showed interest in the agricultural opportunities on display.
Receiving visitors at the Katsina exhibition stand, the Managing Director of KTARDA, Abubakar Dabo, affirmed the commitment of Governor Dikko Umar Radda to advancing agriculture in the state.
He highlighted government support through improved technologies, enhanced seeds, farm implements, fertilizers, and other essential inputs. Dabo further noted that the state recently employed 722 agricultural extension workers to strengthen its extension service system.
He added that both extension workers and farmers have undergone capacity-building programs aimed at boosting agricultural production and productivity across the state.
