Governor Radda explained that the appointment of Hon. The Governor announced that Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa, formerly Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, has been moved to head the Ministry of Special Duties, while Prof. Ahmad Muhammad Bakori was redeployed from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. According to him, the changes are designed to enhance coordination, deepen sectoral expertise, and fast-track the implementation of key government programmes, especially in the education sector.

Describing Hon. Yusuf Jibia as “the most experienced politician in the cabinet,” Governor Radda commended his long-standing record of public service as a former Local Government Chairman, Agency Head, Commissioner, and Chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Board. He expressed confidence that Jibia’s wealth of experience would add value to the administration’s education reforms and overall development drive in the state.

In his remarks, Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia expressed profound gratitude to Governor Radda and the Katsina State House of Assembly for the trust reposed in him. He pledged to serve with loyalty, humility, and commitment to improving the quality of education in the state. “This is a call to serve, not to be served. I will work with all stakeholders to ensure our schools become centres of excellence,” he said.

The Katsina State House of Assembly had earlier screened and confirmed Hon. Yusuf Jibia for the position, following his nomination by Governor Radda.
