Gov Radda Swears in Yusuf Jibia as Commissioner

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia as the new Commissioner in his cabinet, charging him to view his appointment as a sacred responsibility rather than a reward. The Governor urged him to serve the people of Katsina State with sincerity, transparency, and the fear of God.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that the swearing-in ceremony took place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Katsina Government House, attended by top government officials, traditional leaders, local government chairmen, and family members.

In his address, Governor Radda said the appointment marked “a renewal of our commitment to good governance, accountability, and effective service delivery.” He explained that the decision came at a time when his administration was reviewing its performance after two and a half years in office, adding that the reshuffle aimed to strengthen the civil service and improve responsiveness to citizens’ needs. “It is time for us to reassess what we have done so far and reposition people in various capacities to strengthen the system,” he noted.

The Governor praised Hon. We will continue to benefit from his vast experience and deep understanding of governance,” the Governor remarked.

In his remarks after the swearing-in, Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia expressed gratitude to Governor Radda for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to serve with loyalty, humility, and dedication.

I pray for Allah’s guidance and wisdom to discharge my duties faithfully for the progress of our dear state,” he said.
