The Jibia People’s Forum has been conferred with an Award of Honor by Hikaya Media Services Limited in recognition of its long-standing contributions to peace, education, empowerment, and development in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State in Nigeria.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that the award ceremony was held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the conference hall of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Jibia.

Speaking on behalf of Engr. Adamu Attahiru, Managing Director of Hikaya Media Services Limited, Abdulrazak Ahmad Jibia, the company’s Editor and Commercial Officer, highlighted the Forum’s critical interventions, including sponsorship of WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations for indigent students, provision of healthcare support, repairs of wells and boreholes, road rehabilitation, and relief assistance during crises. He added that the Forum has also been active in peacebuilding initiatives, youth and women empowerment, and the promotion of unity beyond politics.
Receiving the award certificate presented by Ibrahim Abdullahi Dutsinma, General Manager of Vision FM Katsina, on behalf of Hikaya Media Services Limited, Alhaji Gide Dahiru, Chairman of the Jibia People’s Forum, expressed deep gratitude. He noted that the Forum, originally established in 1999 as the Jibia Youth Forum and renamed in 2007, has remained committed to its slogan of “Unity, Enlightenment, and Development”. He commended Hikaya Media Services Limited for recognizing the Forum’s efforts in serving humanity.

Hon. Mustapha Yusuf, Member representing Jibia Constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, also praised Hikaya Media Services Limited for the recognition, describing the Forum as an organization working tirelessly day and night for the betterment of the community. He emphasized the group’s critical role in social and political enlightenment.
In his goodwill message, Professor Ibrahim Sani of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University advised the Forum to remain steadfast and committed to its humanitarian mission for the sake of Allah. Similarly, Alhaji Rabe Rabi’u Ibrahim, Sarkin Arewan Katsina and District Head of Jibia, thanked Hikaya Media Services Limited for presenting the award to what he called “a most deserving Forum” that represents the true spirit of community service.
The well-attended ceremony featured prominent personalities including Sheikh Barr. Ibrahim Sabi’u, Imam Mustafa Mansur, Hon. Aminu Aliyu, Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal, CSP Ibrahim Garba, Nuhu Yusuf of the DSS, and the Secretary of Danmadamin Katsina, District Head of Daddara, among others. The event was marked by celebration and commendation for the Forum’s legacy of selfless service to Jibia and beyond.
