Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, alongside other prominent political leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the North West zone, has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election. The announcement followed a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held in Kaduna on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by all APC governors from the North West, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Deputy Senate President, and former governors from the region. Senior party figures and government officials, including the National Chairman of the APC, state chapter chairmen, federal and state legislators, ministers, and heads of federal agencies, were also present.
In his address, Governor Idris, who is also known as the Kauran Gwandu, described President Tinubu as a visionary and result-oriented leader. “I, Nasir Idris, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his prosperous leadership come 2027,” he declared, speaking on behalf of fellow APC stalwarts.
The endorsement was framed as a united expression of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, particularly in his efforts to drive economic recovery, enhance national unity, and strengthen institutions across Nigeria. The leaders affirmed that his administration is setting a solid foundation for long-term development.
The gathering underscored the North West zone’s commitment to supporting the President in the next electoral cycle, reflecting a strategic alignment within the APC. The meeting concluded with renewed calls for party unity and collaboration to ensure continued governance success and political stability.
