Gov Radda Named Nigeria’s Most Performing Governor by NOMF

The National Online Media Forum (NOMF), Abuja, has named Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, as Nigeria’s most performing governor within the last two years. The recognition was announced during a gathering held in Kaduna, attended by elders, youths, and entrepreneurs from across the country.

President of NOMF, Umar Lawal Funtua, praised Governor Radda for his proactive leadership, particularly in addressing youth unemployment and insecurity. He cited the creation of over 10,000 job opportunities for youths and women through education initiatives and the Community Security Watch program as key achievements. “Governor Radda’s model is what Nigeria needs for progressive governance,” he stated.

Funtua also emphasized the objectivity of the recognition, clarifying that it was not influenced by regional sentiment. “We are not commending Governor Radda because he is from Katsina. We are independent media professionals committed to promoting accurate and credible journalism,” he said.

Another speaker, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed, highlighted the forum’s broader purpose—to find solutions to challenges in Northern Nigeria. He reflected on the region’s history of peace and prosperity and stressed the importance of unity among Northern governors in combating insecurity. He noted visible progress due to collaborative efforts and public prayers.

The event concluded with special prayers for national peace and progress, and for past leaders who contributed to Nigeria’s development, particularly the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, who was remembered for his selfless service to the nation.
