President Bola Ahmed Tinubu served as Waliyi (guardian) at the wedding of Aisha Dikko Umaru Radda, the daughter of Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, to Ahmed Usman, a prominent figure from the Daura Emirate.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that the ceremony, held in Katsina, showcased a blend of cultural and political significance, attracting a host of dignitaries from across Nigeria.
The wedding was officiated by Chief Imam of Katsina Central Mosque, Imam Malam Mustapha, with assistance from Alh. Amadi Batagarawa, the Imam of Modoji Jumuat Mosque and former Grand Khadi of Katsina State. The union was formalized with a dowry of N700,000, adhering to Islamic traditions that underscore the sanctity of marriage.
Former Bauchi State Governor Isa Yuguda played a key role as Wakili, receiving the bride on behalf of the groom’s family. The event was marked by its solemnity and adherence to cultural practices, reflecting the importance of family and community in such unions.
The wedding attracted an impressive array of political figures, including House of Representatives Speaker Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, and APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
