The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro-Enabo, has announced that preparations for the 2025 Hajj exercise are nearly complete, with a 90% progress rate.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that this disclosure was made during a press briefing at the agency’s headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, following an inaugural meeting led by the 2025 Amirul Hajj, Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Isma’ila Muhammad Mera.

The meeting, which brought together members of the government delegation, agency board members, management staff, and other personnel, deliberated extensively on the preparations for the upcoming Hajj exercise. Yaro Enabo highlighted that significant progress had been made in areas such as visa processing, yellow card issuance, basic travel allowance, and the establishment of local committees in the state and Saudi Arabia.

The Amirul Hajj, Emir of Argungu, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of intending pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. He pledged to ensure the improved well-being of pilgrims during their stay in the Holy Land and urged board members to serve diligently. The Emir expressed gratitude to the state governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, for entrusting him with the leadership of the 2025 Hajj exercise and promised to work selflessly for the benefit of all pilgrims.

Yaro-Enabo praised the governor for appointing dedicated and diligent individuals, including judges and professionals, to serve on the committee under the Amirul Hajj’s leadership. He noted that the meeting was conducted peacefully and successfully, with all attendees satisfied with the arrangements. The agency’s chairman emphasized the importance of teamwork and commitment to ensuring the success of the Hajj exercise.

The Emir of Argungu also called for closer collaboration between government agencies to drive sustainable social and economic development in the state. He urged committee members to work selflessly, motivated by the reward in the hereafter rather than worldly gains, and to uphold the dignity and image of Kebbi State.
