The National Online Forum on Nigeria officially inaugurated its new national executives on Wednesday, April 17, 2025, at the House of Representatives Media Center in Abuja. The ceremony marked a significant moment for the organization as it welcomed its newly appointed leaders.
Mr. Undie Emmanuel Agba, Chairman of the Governing Board, presided over the event, confirming the appointments and administering the oath of office to the new executives. The newly inaugurated leaders include Umar Lawal Funtua as National President, Obalisa Christelle Laro as Vice National President, and Mr. Ibunkun Afolayana as National Secretary, among others.
In a press release issued by Mr. Afolayana, the full list of national executives was shared, which also includes Rasaz Mutalib as National Treasurer, Mr. Victor Valentine Okechukwu as Provost, Mr. Tsebeter as Public Relations Officer, and Abubakar Musa as Welfare Officer. This diverse team is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the Forum.
During his address, Mr. Agba congratulated the new officials and emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism, and collective leadership in guiding the Forum’s future. He encouraged the executives to work collaboratively to achieve the organization’s goals.
Umar Lawal Funtua, the newly sworn-in National President and Assistant Managing Director of Reality News TV Katsina, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him. He pledged to prioritize ethical journalism, promote inclusivity, and ensure that all members are engaged in advancing the Forum’s vision and mission.
