Hajiya Fati Dogo, Chairperson of the Kano State Chapter of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), has concluded her tour of Police Area Commands and Police Mobile Force Squadron bases in Kano State.
The tour, which began on November 26, 2024, aimed to assess living conditions at Police Barracks, inspect ongoing projects, and engage with Police Officers’ wives and their families. Hajiya Fati Dogo also informed POWA members about planned empowerment programs for Police widows.
In a Press Release signed by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) on Thursday, December 12, 2024, stated that during the tour, the Chairperson visited several Area Commands, including Metro, Hotoro, Tarauni, Kano Central, Dala, Eastern Bye-pass, Bichi, Dambatta, Rano, Tudun Wada, and Wudil. She also visited two Police Mobile Squadrons (9PMF & 52PMF) located at Hotoro and Challawa.
Hajiya Fati Dogo interacted with Police Officers, their wives, and families to understand their challenges and concerns. This initiative demonstrates her commitment to improving the well-being of Police Officers’ wives and their families.
The Chairperson reiterated POWA’s priority in ensuring a safe, supportive, and conducive environment for all members of the Police Force and their families.
The tour provided an opportunity for the Chairperson to listen to concerns and suggestions from Police Officers’ wives and Women Police, focusing on enhancing their living and working conditions.
