Katsina State security forces successfully rescued ten individuals, including six women and four men, who had been kidnapped by armed bandits. The operation took place on April 8, 2025, in the Musawa Local Government Area, following credible intelligence from local community members.
The joint operation was conducted by the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (C-Watch) and the Nigeria Police Force at around 10:00 PM. The coordinated effort led to the safe recovery of all kidnapped victims from the communities of Kiroro, Kabbi, and Dogon Marke. During the operation, one bandit was neutralized.
Dr. Nasir Mu’azu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, praised the swift action and professionalism of the security personnel involved. In a press release issued on April 9, he expressed gratitude on behalf of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for the successful outcome of the operation.
