Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has marked the inaugural National Police Day, recognizing the vital role of the Nigerian Police Force in maintaining security across the nation. The celebration, which took place on April 7, 2025, aims to honor the dedication and sacrifices of law enforcement officers.
In a press release issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda praised the police for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and properties in Katsina State. He highlighted the challenges posed by banditry and the police’s courageous response to these threats, which have been instrumental in restoring peace to affected communities.
“The strategic positioning of security personnel across vulnerable locations in our communities demonstrates the Force’s commitment to protecting our citizens,” Governor Radda stated, emphasizing the proactive measures taken by law enforcement to enhance community safety.
The Governor noted that the police’s responsive approach has led to a significant reduction in insecurity and kidnapping incidents throughout the state. He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the police, pledging to continue celebrating their contributions to collective security.
