The President of Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), (Dr.) Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun, led a Health Walk and Barracks Sanitation exercise in Kano State on January 21, 2025. The event aimed to promote physical fitness and cleanliness among police families.
The Health Walk and Barracks Sanitation exercise were conducted alongside the Kano State Chapter Chairperson of POWA, Hajiya Fati Dogo, and other POWA members. Additionally, the POWA President organized a Health Talk on personal hygiene for members at No. 9 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Hotoro, Kano.
The event featured a parade and cultural dance display by students of Police Children School, No. 9 PMF Hotoro, showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. This initiative is part of POWA’s efforts to promote the welfare and well-being of police families in Kano State.
The Kano State Police Command appreciated the POWA President’s efforts, with SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Police Command.
