The Presidency has confirmed the selection of four airlines to serve as official air carriers for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj operations. This announcement was made by the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman.
The selected airlines are Air Peace Limited, Fly-Nas, Max Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited. These carriers were chosen from 11 companies that submitted applications for the airlift of Nigerian Muslim pilgrims. The air carriers were screened and shortlisted by a 32-member team inaugurated by the NAHCON Chairman on November 26, 2024.
The Aviation Screening Committee comprised representatives from various organizations, including State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). The committee ensured that the selected airlines met the required standards for the Hajj operations.
In addition to the four airlines, three excess cargo carriers were also selected for the year’s Hajj operations. These carriers are Aglow Aviation Support Services Limited, Cargozeal Technology Limited, and Qualla Investment Limited.
Prof. Abdullahi Sale Usman congratulated the successful companies and urged them to fulfill their responsibilities as promised during the screening. He also signed the 2025 Hajj Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on behalf of Nigeria.
The signing ceremony took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and was attended by dignitaries from Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. The event formalized the year’s Hajj engagements and marked an important milestone in the preparations for the 2025 Hajj operations.
The NAHCON Chairman was accompanied by several officials, including Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Mu’azzam I. J. Nayaya, Nigeria’s Consul General in Jeddah.
