Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has been honored with the Distinguished Service to Public Safety Award at the 6th Annual Pandora Awards held in Kano.
The award recognizes CP Dogo’s dedication, exemplary service, and significant contributions to enhancing public safety and security in Kano State. Organizers praised his commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring peace within communities.
The award ceremony also honored SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), with the Digital Bridge Builder for Police-Citizen Relations Award. This acknowledgment highlights the Command’s efforts in leveraging digital platforms to foster better communication and understanding between the Police and the community.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa commended the organizers for supporting community policing initiatives. He emphasized that this recognition challenges all officers to continue being dedicated and responsible.
CP Salman Dogo Garba assumed duties as the Kano State Police Commissioner in June 2024.ยน Since then, he has decorated newly promoted senior police officers and demonstrated his commitment to enhancing public safety and security.
