Sirajo Ado Meets with Traditional Rulers and Clerics Ahead of Campaign

Hon. Sirajo Ado, the chairmanship candidate for Jibia Local Government Area under the APC ruling party, met with traditional rulers and clerics from Jibia and Daddara Districts to seek their support and advice.

The meeting, which took place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, aimed to discuss ways to improve the affairs of traditional rulers and religious issues in the area.

Ado visited the palaces of Sarkin Arewan Katsina and District Head of Jibia, Alhaji Rabe Rabi’u Ibrahim, and Danmadamin Katsina and District Head of Daddara, Alhaji Usman Usman Nagogo. He emphasized the importance of traditional rulers and clerics in improving the districts and moving them forward.

The chairmanship candidate stated that clerics play a significant role in security, peace, and community development. He sought their suggestions on developing the Islamic religion in Jibia Local Government Area. Ado also highlighted his patriotic nature, promising to promote Islamic education and good traditions of the Hausa tribe.

Alhaji Rabe Rabi’u Ibrahim and Alhaji Usman Usman Nagogo advised Ado to work hard to advance the Islamic religion and develop the good traditions of the traditional districts. They also stressed the importance of cooperation with the Katsina state government to improve safety and security in the community.

The District Heads encouraged victims of banditry and internally displaced persons (IDPs) to remain hopeful, assuring them that ease will come after difficulty.

Hon. Bishir Sabi’u Maitan, Chairman of Jibia Local Government, praised Ado’s good character and dealings with the people, expressing confidence in his ability to lead.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that Ado’s 5-point agenda focuses on developing education, health, agriculture, business, and security in Jibia Local Government. He vowed to be honest and trustworthy, promising not to deceive the people.

The meeting concluded with optimism and unity among traditional rulers and clerics, who supported Ado’s candidacy ahead of the 2025 local government elections. Attendees included Hon. Nasiru Almustafa Danye, Chairman of the APC party in Jibia Local Government, and Alhaji Babangida Daddara, Chairman of Kogunan Jibia’s Foundation.

Ado’s meeting with traditional rulers and clerics demonstrates his commitment to engaging with key stakeholders in the community. His 5-point agenda and promise to promote Islamic education and good traditions have resonated with local leaders.
