Security forces in Katsina state have successfully defeated terrorists in Jibia local government area. The joint security forces, comprising the Police, DSS, Community Watch Corps, Vigilantes, and Jibia Youth Security Volunteers, launched a fierce attack on the terrorists, killing many and destroying their camps.
The security forces’ efforts were commended by Hon. Sa’idu Ibrahim Danja ‘Kogunan Jibia’, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Katsina State on Victims of Banditry and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). Kogunan Jibia praised the security forces for their bravery and sacrifices, stating that the governor has ordered the community to congratulate the security forces for every success achieved.
SP Ibrahim Garba, 2ic of the Anti Kidnapping Unit, Katsina State Police Command, expressed gratitude for the congratulatory visit and paid tribute to Governor Dikko Umar Radda for his contributions to improving security in Katsina state. Garba revealed that the security forces entered every forest, fought insurgents, and destroyed their camps, killing many terrorists.
Kogunan Jibia emphasized that peace in Jibia local government is crucial for the economy of Nigeria and other African countries. He noted that Jibia is a border area and a major tax contributor, making it essential for peace to be maintained.
The Vice Chairman of Jibia Local Government, Hon. Aminu Aliyu, and the secretary, Malam Muhammad Lawal, expressed happiness over the security forces’ success and vowed to provide necessary support to improve security and peace.
The security forces’ victory is a significant milestone in the fight against terrorism in Katsina state. The state government’s efforts to improve security have yielded positive results, with business activities increasing and peace being restored in Jibia local government.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, Spokesperson of the Katsina State Police, confirmed that the state police has strengthened its fight against criminals. He assured that the Commissioner of Police has taken necessary measures to improve security and peace, and they will continue to fight against bandits.
The people of Jibia local government have been urged to cooperate with the security forces and report any suspicious activities to ensure the maintenance of peace and security in the area.
