NDC leaders host Obi, Kwankwaso in Abuja

Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) are currently meeting with Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in Abuja, as talks over their political future continue.

The meeting is being attended by the party’s National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, and its National Leader, Seriake Dickson. Sources say the discussion is part of ongoing consultations following recent developments within their current party.

Obi and Kwankwaso, who finished third and fourth respectively in the last presidential election, are believed to be preparing to leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Their move comes after the party’s leadership crisis and a Supreme Court decision directing that the matter be returned to the Federal High Court.

While both leaders confirmed they are in talks with the NDC, Obi has made it clear that he has left the ADC. Kwankwaso, however, told his supporters to remain calm, saying his next political step will be announced soon.
