Alhaji Shutti, who has been serving as Director of Inspectorate and Compliance at NAHCON since 2023, will hold the Acting Secretary position until a substantive Secretary is appointed. With a wealth of experience in Hajj and Umrah administration, Alhaji Shutti has risen through the ranks, having served in various capacities at NAHCON since 2007.

His impressive academic background includes a Master’s degree in Public Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, and a Diploma in Journalism. Additionally, Alhaji Shutti has attended several local and international seminars on Hajj operations in the UK, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, demonstrating his expertise in the field.

As Acting Secretary, Alhaji Shutti is expected to leverage his deep understanding of Hajj operations to ensure a seamless and successful Hajj experience. His appointment has been welcomed by stakeholders, who acknowledge his dedication and commitment to NAHCON’s mission.

Alhaji Shutti’s predecessor, Dr. Abdullahi Rabi’u Kontagora, had served as Secretary to the Commission since 2021. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in shaping NAHCON’s policies and programs.

The appointment of Alhaji Alidu Shutti as Acting Secretary is a significant development for NAHCON, and stakeholders will be watching closely as he takes on this new role.
