Madina Community College of General Studies Jibia, affiliated with the Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, has graduated 250 students and matriculated 300 new students.
Malam Nura, representing the proprietor of the school, Mr. Khadi Makiyu, welcomed guests, faculty members, parents, and graduating students. He acknowledged the perseverance and hard work of the graduates and welcomed the newly admitted students.
Mr. Abubakar Lawal, Academic Secretary of the school, highlighted the history and journey of Madina Community College of General Studies Jibia.
Comrade Sani Anas, the outgoing SUG Secretary General, expressed pride in the achievements made during his tenure. He congratulated the graduates and welcomed the new students, urging them to seize opportunities to grow and make their mark.
Hon. Lauratu Haruna, SUG Vice President, presented an Award Certificate to Hon. Nasiru Hussaini (One-Boy) and Comrade Jamilu Hamisu Shalla for their selfless contributions to the institution.
Alhaji Abubakar Lawal, representing Hon. Nasiru Hussaini (One-Boy), expressed gratitude for the award. He emphasized his passion for giving back to the community and empowering the next generation.
Comrade Jamilu Hamisu Shalla thanked the SUG and college administration for acknowledging his efforts. He reiterated his commitment to supporting education and youth development.
Abubakar Sani, representing the proprietor of Citadel Group of Schools, Mr. Mansur Sani, highlighted the importance of knowledge in personal and societal growth.
Dr. Nura Adam, Acting Registrar of the college, congratulated the graduating students and welcomed the new students. He urged the graduates to remember that education is a lifelong journey and encouraged the new students to be focused and committed to their studies.
Hon. Sirajo Ado, chairmanship candidate for the 2025 local government elections in Katsina State, sponsored some of the graduating students and welcomed new scholars. He urged the students to seize the opportunity, work hard, and make the most of their time at Madina Community College.
Engr. Laminu Salisu, described that “we celebrate the graduation of our outstanding students and welcome our new intake. As the Social Director, I have had the privilege of witnessing the growth and development of our students, and I must say that I am proud of each and every one of them. Let us work together to make this institution a hub of excellence and a place where memories are made.”
Hikaya Newspaper reports that a Chief Magistrate Barrister matriculates the newly students, while Mr. Ibrahim Adam, students affairs officer inaugurated the new SUG caretakers. The graduation and matriculation ceremony attended by many dignitaries at the premise of the school along Magama-Jibia road, Jibia town, Katsina State, on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
