About 300 people in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State have received cash support to help them prepare for the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The support was shared by Faruk Ahmad Bube, Chairman of Faruq Bube Poultry Farm, on behalf of Hon. Muhammadu Halliru (Sadaukin Jibia). The beneficiaries are indigenes of Jibia, including men, women, and orphans.
A total of ₦1,500,000 was distributed to the beneficiaries, with each person receiving ₦5,000. The gesture is part of efforts to support Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan and ease the burden of household expenses ahead of the festive period.
Speaking with reporters after the event, Faruk Bube said the support was inspired by the humanitarian efforts of Sadaukin Jibia, whom he described as a role model in community service.
He called on the people of Kaita and Jibia to continue supporting Hon. Muhammadu Halliru, noting that unity and cooperation would bring more development to the area. He also announced plans to support 150 women with poultry farming capital, assuring that his company would buy the chickens from them to sustain their businesses.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, saying it came at the right time. They noted that the money would help them buy food items for their families during Ramadan and the upcoming Eid celebration, and prayed for the continued success of the donors.
Also speaking, Umar Bala Tuge, who attended the event held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in Jibia town, praised the initiative.
He said the generosity of Hon. Muhammadu Halliru has earned him wide acceptance in the area, adding that young people like Bube are now following his example by supporting the community and contributing to social development.
