The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Katsina State Chapter, has declared its full support for Governor Dikko Umar Radda ahead of the 2027 general election.
The endorsement was announced by key leaders and members of the union in the state. The Northwest Chairman of NURTW and Chairman of the Katsina State Chapter, Alhaji Musa Garba Yandoma, made this known during an interview with journalists at an endorsement rally for Governor Radda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event was held at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Monday, February 2, 2026, and was attended by prominent political figures from the federal, state, and local government levels.
Alhaji Musa Garba Yandoma said the union reached its decision after carefully considering the achievements of Governor Radda’s administration, particularly in the areas of education development, youth employment, economic growth, and the improvement of the transport sector.
He added that ongoing road construction and other infrastructural projects have eased transportation challenges and improved mobility for traders and workers across the state.
Stakeholders of the union across Katsina State expressed satisfaction with Governor Radda’s leadership style, commending his commitment, patience, and integrity since assuming office in 2023. They noted that his policies on security, support for small-scale businesses, and collaboration with private sector groups have strengthened public confidence in his government.
The NURTW concluded by reaffirming its commitment to continued cooperation with the state government to promote peace and development, while calling on its members and the people of Katsina State to support Governor Dikko Umar Radda in the 2027 election, describing his leadership as proven and beneficial to all.
