The Katsina State chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has concluded a three-day zonal tour of the Funtua Senatorial Zone, aimed at strengthening the party, promoting unity, and mobilising its supporters across the area.
The tour was led by the State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bello Adamu Safana, alongside his Deputy, Dr. Magaji Aliyu Dansarai; the State Secretary, Malam Mustapha Mohammed Kurfi; the Assistant Publicity Secretary, Abdulrazak Ahmad Jibia; and other key stakeholders of the party.
According to the tour schedule, the committee inaugurated the exercise on Sunday, January 25, 2026, with meetings held with SDP leaders in Matazu and Musawa Local Government Areas. On Monday, January 26, the delegation met with party stakeholders in Dandume, Faskari, Funtua, and Sabuwa Local Government Areas. The tour was concluded on Tuesday, January 27, in Kankara, Danja, and Kafur Local Government Areas, among others.
Speaking to journalists, Alhaji Bello Adamu Safana described the zonal tour as a strategic step toward revitalising the party, strengthening its leadership structure, and boosting the morale of party supporters to remain committed to the ideals and ideology of the SDP.
The party chairman reaffirmed that the SDP is founded on the principles of unity, justice, progress, equity, and prosperity, stressing that the party will not relent or retreat in its struggle to provide good governance capable of rescuing Nigerians from the current socio-economic challenges.
