The APC Zalla Movement has inaugurated its coordinators in the 34 local government areas of Katsina State, in a move aimed at strengthening unity and deepening the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state.
The inauguration ceremony, which was held in a calm and united atmosphere, took place on Saturday, 20 December 2025. It was attended by members of the Movement’s Steering Committee drawn from different parts of the state, under the leadership of the Director General of the group, Dr. Bala Nuhu, popularly known as Sadaukin Kankia.
Speaking at the event, leaders of the APC Zalla Movement from the Daura, Funtua and Katsina zones expressed satisfaction with the growing cohesion among APC members and commended the policies and leadership style of Governor Dikko Umar Radda. They noted that the Movement would continue to sensitize the public on government development programmes, particularly in the areas of education, security and social welfare.
In his address, the State Director General of the Movement, Dr. Bala Nuhu (Sadaukin Kankia), emphasized the importance of unity, commitment and consistency in promoting the ideals and programmes of the APC at all levels. He described the APC as a party committed to development and good governance based on integrity and accountability, and reaffirmed the Movement’s full support for Governor Radda in the implementation of policies aimed at improving the living standards of the people. He also stated that the group is fully prepared to work towards a decisive victory in the 2027 elections.
Dr. Kankia further praised the dedication and party loyalty demonstrated by the newly inaugurated coordinators across the 34 local government areas and urged all members of the Movement, from the ward level to polling units, to remain steadfast, disciplined and loyal to the party leadership. He added that the APC Zalla Movement would continue to serve as a strong platform for unity and support for the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda and the APC as a whole, in order to sustain peace and development in Katsina State.
On its plans for 2026, Dr. Bala Nuhu disclosed to Hikaya Newspaper that the Movement would implement several programmes, including free medical outreach services, voter card registration awareness campaigns, educational empowerment initiatives, and advocacy to mobilize public endorsement for Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s 2027 gubernatorial bid, among other community-focused activities.
