Sada Soli Empowers 100 Youths from Jibia and Kaita

The member representing Kaita and Jibia Federal Constituency in Katsina State, Hon. Sada Soli, has donated ₦10 million to support 100 youths who successfully completed a one-week training program on solar electricity installation and maintenance.

The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Al-Hujrat Event Centre in Katsina city, under the supervision of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).

Hikaya Newspaper reports that during the event, Hon. Sada Soli stated that the initiative aimed to equip young people with sustainable, income-generating skills. “This is a kind of work you learn and later teach others it’s a long-term investment in youth empowerment and community growth,” he said.

He further noted that the training had produced new local experts in solar technology, reducing dependence on external technicians for power installation and repairs in the area. The lawmaker urged the beneficiaries to take their trade seriously and use the skills productively, adding that the ₦10 million grant was meant to help them start their businesses.

In their remarks, officials from NCDMB, who facilitated the program, commended the lawmaker’s commitment to youth development and advised the beneficiaries to uphold integrity, honesty, and professionalism in their new careers. The Board also presented an award of recognition to Hon. Sada Soli for sponsoring the training and empowering youths across his constituency.

Additionally, NCDMB announced the creation of a “Liabilities Company”, which will group the trainees into teams of ten, enabling them to access interest-free loans and business support from both government agencies and private organizations. The event was attended by key political figures, including Hon. Surajo Abdu Kwaskwaro, Hon. Mustapha Yusuf Jibia, and Hon. Sirajo Ado, the Chairman of Jibia Local Government Area.
