Hajara Community Holds First-Ever Graduation Ceremony

The Hajara Community Girls Child Education School in Jibia town, Katsina State, has held its first-ever graduation ceremony for both primary and secondary school students since its establishment.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that the event took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the school premises near the Jibia General Hospital, featuring a debate competition where graduating pupils from Primary Six and students from Senior Secondary, showcased the knowledge and skills they had acquired.

The Principal of Primary and Secondary sections, Malam Sani Bara’u, said the school had recorded significant progress since its inception, particularly in providing quality education and moral upbringing.

He expressed gratitude to individuals who had contributed in various ways to the development of the school and Jibia community at large, while urging parents to pay greater attention to their children’s education.

Islamic scholars, Imam Mustapha Mansur and Sheikh Barrister Ibrahim Sabi’u, offered prayers for the school’s founder, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, asking Allah to reward him abundantly and grant the school continuous growth.

The Chairman of the APC in Jibia Local Government, Nasiru Almustapha Ɗanye, stressed the need for the community to actively support educational development, especially for young boys and girls, so they can grow into responsible future leaders. He also noted that the progress of any society is linked to the quality of education given to children at the foundational level.

Similarly, Alhaji Salisu Kwangi expressed his joy over the school’s contributions to education since its establishment. He called on wealthy individuals in Jibia Local Government to support the institution, stating that education is the foundation of a prosperous community.

In his remarks, the Secretary of the Jibia Traders Union, Alhaji Haruna Sada, commended the teachers for delivering high-quality education and announced his sponsorship of two outstanding students to further their studies in higher institutions.

The Sarkin Arewan Katsina and District Head of Jibia, Alhaji Rabe Rabi’u, congratulated the graduating students and offered prayers for the school’s founder, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, asking Allah to reward him.
