Virtue School Graduates its Students With Brilliance and Excellence

Virtue Montessori Model School has held its 2024/2025 Speech and Prize Giving Day to celebrate its graduating students, with the theme “From Spark to Stardom” and the slogan “Unveiling the Brilliance Within.”

Hikaya Newspaper reports that the event took place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Classic Arena in Dutsin-Safe Lowcost, Katsina city, and was marked by colourful presentations, exhibitions, cultural displays, and awards.

The proprietor of the school, Mrs. Dorcas Bosede Frank, presented an inspiring article titled “Why We Emphasize Practical Learning and 21st Century Skills.” She explained that the school’s vision is to raise moral, intelligent, independent, and confident children who make a positive impact.

“At Virtue Montessori, we are preparing children not just for exams, but for life,” she said, highlighting their focus on practical, hands-on learning that empowers learners to think critically, lead, and solve real-world problems through science experiments, publishing projects, logical mathematics, and digital technology.

In his address, the Chairman of the Occasion, CSP Iliyasu Kafur, Divisional Police Officer of Mashi LGA, commended the school’s commitment to education and moral upbringing. He encouraged the pupils to continue to strive for excellence. “Discipline and education go hand in hand. With the right values and determination, every child can become a star,” he noted.

Also speaking, the Chairlady of the Occasion, Hajiya Amina Umar, praised the management and staff for building an inclusive and nurturing environment. She advised parents to be intentional about their children’s academic and moral growth. “Home and school must work together in shaping these young minds for greatness,” she added.

The Mother of the Day, Hajiya Rahina Bishir, expressed her joy and pride in witnessing the accomplishments of the students. She applauded the school’s efforts and reminded parents of their central role in instilling confidence and discipline in children. “Every child has brilliance within; we must nurture it with love and commitment,” she said.

The Father of the Day, Grand Khadi Kabir Malumfashi, emphasized the importance of character in education. He said, “Beyond certificates, we must raise children who are honest, responsible, and God-fearing. Virtue Montessori is clearly on that noble path.”

The Guest Speaker, Mr. Emmanuel Olaoye of the School of Education, FCE Katsina, explained the theme “From Spark to Stardom” by focusing on the role of teachers in igniting that first spark in learners.

“From the spark the moment a teacher imparts unbiased knowledge to stardom, where learners shine with their skills and confidence, is a journey built on dedication and guidance,” he explained.

The event featured graduation ceremonies from Nursery, Primary, and Secondary sections, cultural dances from Fulani, Igbo, and Yoruba tribes, and prize presentations to outstanding students, teachers, and supportive parents.
