The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, has been commended for his exceptional leadership in organizing this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
According to Ibrahim Baba Suleiman, National Director of JIBWIS Social Media, Nigeria, Professor Usman’s efforts ensured the smooth transportation of pilgrims during departure and return, as well as a well-coordinated stay in Mina during the Day of Arafat.
The NAHCON Chairman’s personal involvement in checking on the welfare of pilgrims, coupled with the provision of luxurious accommodations, food, and drinks, was particularly noteworthy. The pilgrims were reportedly satisfied with the arrangements, with even top government officials expressing their appreciation.
Professor Usman also recruited Islamic scholars from across the country to educate pilgrims on the true rites of Hajj. Medical personnel were deployed to care for the health of the pilgrims, while journalists played a crucial role in covering the Hajj operations and disseminating accurate reports globally. The Head of NAHCON’s Media Team, Fatima Sanda Usara, and her team were singled out for special recognition.
The NAHCON Chairman’s efforts extended to providing high-standard accommodations in both Madinah and Makkah, with most hotels located close to the Holy Mosque. Suleiman praised Professor Usman for his extraordinary efforts, describing him as a fitting vessel in the right position. As a scholar and preacher, Professor Usman has proven himself worthy of the trust placed upon him.
