DMG Foundation Provides Assistance to Inmates

The DMG Foundation, a charitable organization, has provided special assistance to about 50 people living in the Nigeria Correctional Service in Jibia Local Government Area, Katsina State, ahead of this year’s Eid-el-Adha.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that the donated items include 50 sets of clothes, 4 bags of Garin Kwaki, Groundnut Cakes, and Maggi. The foundation described the program as part of its activities aimed at serving the underprivileged.

The chairman of the foundation, Alhaji Nura, popularly known as DMG, expressed gratitude to the member of the Nigerian House of Representatives representing Kaita and Jibia local governments, Hon. Sada Soli, and the chairman of Jibia local government, Hon. Sirajo Ado, for their support in carrying out the foundation’s mission. Alhaji Nura DMG stated that the foundation was established to serve orphans, the underprivileged, and those affected by calamities.

During the visit, Imam Abubakar Rabi’u delivered a preach to the residents of Jibia Correctional, emphasizing the importance of following God’s commandments and the consequences of disobeying them. He encouraged the inmates to repent and abandon evil deeds, highlighting the rewards of righteousness in Paradise and the punishment of disobedience in hell.

ASP Ashiru Sulaiman, who spoke on behalf of the head of Jibia Correctional Service, SP Ahmad Labaran, described the visit as a matter of pride and stressed the importance of community support for the correctional facility. He urged wealthy individuals to emulate the good deeds of their predecessors, particularly in public service, to reap rewards from God Almighty.

The residents of Jibia Correctional Service expressed their gratitude to the DMG Foundation for the support, which included sets of clothes, and food items. They hoped for their safety and freedom to live according to the path of Islam. The visit is seen as a step of humanitarian action that every wealthy person is expected to contribute to the development of the community.

The DMG Foundation’s gesture is a testament to its commitment to serving the underprivileged and promoting the welfare of all residents in the area. The foundation’s partnership with Hon. Sada Soli and Hon. Sirajo Ado will enable it to listen to the grievances of the people and convey them to the authorities for appropriate action.
