The Quranic Education Advancement Network (QEAN) has expressed condolences to Sheikh Yakubu Yahaya, leader of the Katsina State Chapter of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), over the death of his son, Sheikh Ammar Yakubu Yahaya.
The National Chairman of QEAN, Dr. Ibrahim Surajo Rabi’u, sent the condolence message through the organisation’s Katsina State Chairman, Alaramma Muhammad Ahmad, alongside the National Director of Media and Publicity, Abdulrazak Ahmad Jibia, and other stakeholders of the organisation.
Alaramma Muhammad Ahmad conveyed the message on behalf of QEAN’s leadership and members, expressing sympathy to the family and praying to Allah to grant the deceased mercy and the family strength to bear the loss.
During the visit, the delegation expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased, grant him eternal mercy and give his family and loved ones the patience to cope with the loss.
Responding to the condolence message, Sheikh Yakubu Yahaya thanked the QEAN leadership and members for the visit and sympathy shown to his family. He expressed appreciation to the organisation and prayed for continued success in its efforts to promote Quranic education and serve the community.
Sheikh Ammar Yakubu Yahaya died in Karbala, Iran, on Monday, September 20, 2026. His death has brought grief to his family, friends and members of the Muslim community, particularly followers of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).
The visit ended with prayers for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, as well as prayers for strength and patience for Sheikh Yakubu Yahaya, his family and other loved ones.
