Virtue Montessori Model School, Katsina, has graduated its first Senior Secondary School (SS3) Students as the school marked its 16th Annual Graduation, Speech and Prize Giving Day.
The ceremony, held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Nursery and Primary School premises in Dutsin Safe, Katsina City, brought together graduates from the Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary School sections, alongside parents, teachers, guests and other members of the school community.
In her welcome address, the founder and proprietor of the school, Dorcas Bosode Frank, said the institution was established 16 years ago with the belief that every child has extraordinary potential.
She explained that the school was designed not only to prepare pupils for examinations but also to develop their minds, character, confidence, creativity and ability to contribute positively to society. She described the graduation of the first SS3 class as a historic milestone and said the students had demonstrated how the school’s academic training, discipline, exposure and confidence-building programmes could prepare learners for future challenges.
Frank said the theme of the ceremony, “Brilliant Beyond,” reflected the school’s belief that students should go beyond grades, certificates, prizes and personal limitations. She urged the graduating students to carry with them the knowledge, confidence, discipline, values and character they had acquired in school, stressing that academic brilliance should be matched with good character, responsibility and service to society. She also called on parents and teachers to continue working together to raise responsible and capable young people.
She further commended parents for their sacrifices and continued support, noting that education requires a strong partnership between families and schools. She thanked teachers and staff for their dedication, saying their work goes beyond classroom teaching because they help shape the future of the students. Frank said the school’s goal was to raise young people who can think, create, communicate, solve problems, lead and serve while maintaining integrity and strong values.
The students also displayed their creativity and practical skills through an Academic, Science and Art Exhibition, where they presented different projects and artworks. Among the displays were a 3D house model and an artistic representation of the school proprietor, Dorcas Bosode Frank. The exhibition provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding, creativity and ability to apply classroom learning to practical activities.
Parents of the students expressed satisfaction with the quality of education provided by the school, saying they were pleased to see their children develop academically and personally. They also appreciated the school’s efforts to combine academic learning with discipline, confidence, creativity and practical exposure, which they said could help prepare the students for further education and future responsibilities.
The event also featured the presentation of prizes to outstanding and talented students from the various graduating sections, while individuals who had contributed to the development of the school were also recognised.
In her closing message, Frank congratulated the graduates, prize winners, parents and teachers, urging the students to go beyond their achievements and use their knowledge and values to make a positive impact in society. She prayed for continued wisdom and grace to raise “world-class leaders of knowledge, character, purpose and virtue.”
