Radda Flags Off Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign in Funtua

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has urged voters to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that Radda made the appeal on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, during the flag-off of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 campaign in Funtua, which attracted a large crowd of party supporters and stakeholders. He said the campaign was an opportunity to present his administration’s achievements under the Building Your Future Agenda, listen to residents, and renew his commitment to the state’s development.

The governor said his administration had made security a priority by working with security agencies, traditional institutions, and the Federal Government to restore lasting peace. He stressed that peace was essential for farming, education, trade, and other economic activities, adding that his government would continue efforts to help residents carry out their lawful activities without fear.

Radda also highlighted investments in road construction, urban renewal, and energy projects, describing Funtua as an important commercial centre for agricultural trade and job creation. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting farmers, small businesses, women, and young people through entrepreneurship, skills training, and private-sector development.

On social services, the governor said his administration was working to improve schools, support teachers, strengthen primary healthcare, and expand health insurance coverage for vulnerable residents. He also praised President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying Katsina State would continue to align its policies with federal initiatives to improve the lives of citizens.

Radda urged APC candidates and party stakeholders to conduct their campaigns with humility, discipline, and respect for voters’ choices. He also called on party leaders and grassroots mobilisers across the state’s 34 local government areas and 361 wards to maintain unity, promote peaceful political engagement, and reach voters through door-to-door campaigns.

Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, thanked the people of Funtua Zone for their turnout. He said President Tinubu was working to reposition the national economy, while Governor Radda was delivering development at the grassroots.

The Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, described the event as an effort to strengthen the party and presented flags and banners to candidates contesting three Senate seats, 15 House of Representatives seats, and 34 State House of Assembly seats, urging them to prioritise public interests and effective representation.
