The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Engr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma, has inaugurated the joint committee of the “Arewa for Asiwaju” (A4A) organisation in Katsina State.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that the committee was inaugurated on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Fams Hotel in Katsina. Darma, who is the state chairman of the organisation, said A4A would focus on raising public awareness about the programmes and projects of the Federal Government across Northern Nigeria.
Darma said the establishment of the organisation followed consultations with several senior government officials and political stakeholders, including the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, a former Governor of Jigawa State, as well as some ministers and former government officials.
He said the organisation would operate across different parts of Northern Nigeria to provide the public with information about Federal Government programmes and their impact on communities. He also urged journalists to continue contributing to the dissemination of accurate information and helping the public understand the activities of the government and the organisation.
The event ended with prayers for peace and stability in Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
