Sirajo Ado Secures ₦60 Million Donation Ahead of LG Elections

Hon. Sirajo Ado, the newly elected chairman of Jibia Local Government Area, has announced that he received a substantial donation of ₦60 million in contributions from various individuals and organizations in preparation for the recent 2025 Local Government Elections in Katsina State. This financial backing is expected to bolster his campaign efforts significantly.

The donations came from a mix of local supporters and partners outside of Jibia, showcasing a broad base of support for Ado’s candidacy. Contributions varied, with amounts ranging from ₦200,000 to ₦500,000, reflecting the community’s commitment to his campaign. Notable contributors included the Sada Soli Support Foundation, Kogunan Jibia’s Foundation, and Akency Foundation, along with Alhaji Falalu Sale Marini, head of the Door-to-Door Association in Jibia.

Commentators have highlighted the significance of this financial support, viewing it as a clear indication of the community’s solidarity behind Ado. They believe that such contributions will enable him to conduct his campaign effectively and without delays, reinforcing his position as a favored candidate among local constituents.

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State have also expressed their belief that Ado is the only candidate to receive such overwhelming financial backing from the community. This sentiment underscores the strong grassroots support he enjoys as he prepares for the electoral battle ahead.

In a press interview conducted shortly after the election results were announced on February 15, 2025, Aminu Usman confirmed Ado’s victory with a total of 32,584 votes. Ado emphasized the importance of the financial contributions, stating that the entire amount is securely held by his campaign committee and is being utilized strictly for campaign purposes as intended by the donors.

As the election season heats up, Ado’s substantial financial support may play a crucial role in his campaign strategy, positioning him as a formidable contender in the upcoming local government elections in Katsina State.
