Hon. Sirajo Ado, the chairmanship candidate for Jibia local government under the APC ruling party, met with health authorities and the Nigerian Union of Local Government’s Employers (NULGE) to discuss challenges faced by hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centers.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that the meeting, which took place on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the conference chamber of Jibia local government’s secretariat, aimed to identify solutions to the health sector’s problems. Ado emphasized the importance of expert input in addressing these challenges.
In his speech, Ado stated that he hates oppression and fights against oppressors, ensuring that corruption and bribery will not be tolerated in his administration. He also expressed his commitment to developing the health sector.
Alhaji Hamza Musa Mota, Director of Health of Jibia local government, advised Ado to work hard to develop the health sector if elected.
Alhaji Mannir Nowa, Chairman of the Hospitals Friend Committee, praised Ado’s political movement, describing it as unprecedented in Nigeria’s democratic history. Nowa urged people to join Ado’s campaign by supporting the House to House group, seeking favors from the Jibia community to elect Ado as chairman.
Aminu Abba Bilya, Coordinator of the Medical and Health Union Workers Nigeria, highlighted the problems faced by the General Hospital Jibia. Bilya emphasized the need to reform the health department and hire indigenous health workers with expertise in various fields of human health education.
Alhaji Bishir Lawal, Chairman of NULGE, praised Ado for organizing the meeting, describing it as a great honor. Lawal advised Ado to avoid inciting enemies if elected, ensuring that he conducts government affairs according to the rules.
Alhaji Ashiru Aliyu ‘Dan Masanin Jibia’, Chairman of the APC’s elders, commended Ado’s efforts in achieving reconciliation and unity among APC members.
The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Hon. Nasiru Almustafa Danye, Chairman of the APC party in Jibia local government; Hon. Aminu Aliyu, Vice Chairman of Jibia Local Government; Secretary to the Chairman of Jibia Local Government; Malam Muhammad Lawal, and Alhaji Falalu Sale Marini, head of the House to House Association.
