AL-IHSAN Support Foundation (ASF) has honored two distinguished professors, Professor Abdussamad Umar and Professor Ibrahim Sani, both natives of Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, Nigeria. The honor was bestowed upon them in recognition of their outstanding contributions to education in the region.
Sheikh Lawal Musa Dansauro, representing Sheikh Barr. Ibrahim Sabi’u, emphasized the importance of knowledge, stating that it is the foundation of personal and societal growth, empowering individuals to make informed decisions and innovate solutions to complex problems.
Professor Abdussamad Umar, a renowned academic, was born on January 1, 1963, in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State. He has held various academic and administrative positions, including serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Qalam University Katsina.
Professor Ibrahim Sani, another distinguished academic, was born on June 12, 1962, in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State. He has also held various positions, including serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Qalam University Katsina, and has published numerous scholarly articles and books.
Presenting an article, Professor Abdussamad Umar emphasized the importance of responsible internet use, urging Muslims to utilize the internet in a manner that aligns with Islamic values and principles.
Professor Ibrahim Sani also presented an article, highlighting the uniqueness of Allah (Tawhid) as a solution to societal ills. He emphasized that recognizing Allah’s oneness and sovereignty fosters a sense of accountability, humility, and morality.
Dr. Nuruddeen Sa’ad, representing Imam Mukhtar Idris, coordinator of AL-IHSAN Support Foundation, stated that the Award Certificates presented to the two professors are intended to praise and congratulate them on their contributions to education.
The occasion of presenting the Award Certificates took place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Salmanul Farisi Congregational Mosque in Jibiya-Babba quarters, Jibia town of Jibia local government area, Katsina state.
Hikaya Newspaper reports that some stakeholders of Jibia local government, including the Chairman of JIBWIS, Alhaji Salisu Musa Namaikwari, among others, praised the two professors, stating that they truly deserve the honor, considering their dedication to education and community development.
