VP Shettima Arrives Katsina for Two-Day Working Visit

Vice President of Nigeria Kashim Shettima, arrived in Katsina State on Monday for a two-day working visit, with his aircraft touching down at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport around 5:00 p.m.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that he was warmly received by the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, alongside Deputy Governor Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, Chief of Staff Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, and the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, among other top government officials.

The Vice President was accompanied by the Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, Senator Muntari Dandutse representing Funtua Zone, and Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu, representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency.

He was also welcomed by representatives of the Daura Emirate, the Kauran Katsina who represented the Emir of Katsina, as well as members of the State Executive Council and several distinguished personalities, reflecting the unity and excitement surrounding his arrival.

During the visit, Vice President Shettima is expected to commission the newly completed dualized Central Mosque Kiddeis Roundabout Road, launch the Katsina Sustainable Platform for Agriculture (KASPA) a digital system linking farmers with experts, markets, and suppliers and officially flag off the 9th National MSME Clinic, aimed at empowering small and medium-scale enterprises across Katsina State.

The event also witnessed the presence of federal lawmakers and district heads from across the state, showcasing widespread participation and support for the Vice President’s engagement in Katsina.
