The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr Professor Joseph Terlumun Utsev, made this known when the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that according to Professor Utsev, the partnership is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, which aims to accelerate food production, job creation, and youth empowerment for economic growth and development.

The Minister described the partnership as crucial in making lives meaningful for all citizens and promised to undertake a working visit to the sugar factory in Jigawa State to assess the water situation and provide possible interventions to make the factory viable.

Governor Namadi had visited the Minister to solicit partnership with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation to ensure a steady water supply at the sugar factory, which would boost production and add value to the economy of the state and the nation.

The partnership is expected to have a positive impact on the economy of Jigawa State and the country as a whole. With the Federal Government’s support, the sugar factory in Jigawa State can maximize its production capacity, creating jobs and contributing to the nation’s economic growth.

The Minister’s planned working visit to the factory will help identify areas that require intervention to ensure the factory’s viability and sustainability.
