NAHCON Ensures Well-being of Nigerian Pilgrims – Adamu Attahiru

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has made all necessary arrangements to ensure the well-being of Nigerian pilgrims who have traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform the 2025 Hajj.

Hikaya Newspaper reports that according to Engr. Adamu Attahiru, Publisher of Hausa Daily Post and Managing Director of Hikaya TV, NAHCON has achieved great success this year, considering the arrangements made in previous years.

Engr. Attahiru highlighted the commission’s collaboration with Saudi authorities to manage the congestion in Medina, which had led to a traffic jam in recent two-week-long. He also praised NAHCON for providing luxurious accommodation and quality, fantastic food for Nigerian pilgrims. “NAHCON has provided luxurious accommodation for Nigerian pilgrims, along with providing them with quality and fantastic food that any decent person would eat,” he said.

Despite the current economic situation in Nigeria, NAHCON, under the leadership of Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has made efforts to reduce the cost of the pilgrimage. The commission has also deployed Islamic Scholars at all entrances to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to educate new pilgrims on how to perform acceptable worship. These scholars help pilgrims correct mistakes in their worship and provide answers to questions regarding the Hajj.

Engr. Attahiru noted that the introduction of scholars has successfully solved many problems affecting the pilgrimage. Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia continue to praise and applaud the Chairman of NAHCON, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, for providing solutions to the community and ensuring a smooth Hajj experience. As journalists, Engr. Attahiru and his team use their platform to educate pilgrims on how to improve their pilgrimage through fatwas and guidance from scholars.

NAHCON’s efforts have been instrumental in ensuring the success of this year’s Hajj. With approximately 41,218 pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia, the commission’s arrangements have been crucial in providing a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
