Shettima Receives Mustapha Inuwa, Thousands of New Members into APC

Vice President Kashim Shettima has received former Katsina State Secretary to the Government, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, and thousands of other new members into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State.

Shettima received the new members on Sunday at the People’s Square, Government House, Katsina, during his one-day official visit to the state. He welcomed their decision to join the APC and described the development as a boost to the party’s political structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Vice-President expressed confidence in Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s leadership and said the Federal Government remained committed to supporting his administration. He also urged APC members to remain united and focused on the party’s objectives.

Inuwa, who described his return to the APC as a homecoming, called on party members to put aside their differences and work together to strengthen the party. He pledged his support for Governor Radda and urged the new members to contribute to the growth of the APC from the grassroots across Katsina State.

Governor Radda welcomed the new entrants, describing their decision as a sign of growing confidence in the APC and its leadership in the state. He said the group included former APC members, members of the Action Alliance (AA), former ADC Deputy Legal Adviser Sallau Karawa, serving lawmakers and other political stakeholders.

Radda said the latest development would strengthen the APC’s grassroots structure and urged members to remain united. He also highlighted projects and interventions of the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying cooperation between the Federal and state governments had supported development in areas including infrastructure and economic growth.

The APC Chairman in Katsina State, Dr Bashir Gambo Saulawa, attributed the growing influx of politicians and supporters to what he described as the achievements of the Radda administration. He assured the new members that they would be integrated into the party and called on all members to work together towards strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
