Tinubu to visit France, Kenya, Rwanda

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja on Saturday, May 2, for official visits to France, Kenya, and Rwanda.

His first stop will be France before travelling to Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the Africa-France Summit scheduled to begin next week. The summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on energy transition, digital development, climate action, and economic cooperation.

President Tinubu’s participation from May 11 to May 12 is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s ties with African countries and France. The summit, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will bring together leaders to discuss economic growth, infrastructure, youth development, and peace-building.

After the Kenya meeting, the President will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14 to 15. The forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” will gather business leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss ways to grow African economies through regional cooperation and investment.

At both events, President Tinubu will present Nigeria’s reforms aimed at attracting investment and boosting growth. He is also expected to meet global and African business leaders. The President will be accompanied by some ministers and aides and will return to Nigeria after the Rwanda meeting.
