Qur’anic Education Advancement Network (QEAN) has honoured Hon. Muhammadu Halliru (Sadaukin Jibia, Sardaunan Kaita) for his service to humanity in Katsina State.
The organization, led by a coalition of Qur’anic memorizers, focuses on promoting inclusive education, economic empowerment, peacebuilding, and good governance. Its programmes also support agricultural development, entrepreneurship, and social cohesion across communities.
At the event, the Katsina State Chairman of QEAN, Gwani Muhammad Ahmad, said the Award of Honor was given in recognition of Halliru’s selfless service. He noted that Halliru has contributed to community welfare, supported orphans and the less privileged, promoted education and public health, and helped create jobs and business opportunities.
He added that this is the first time the organization is presenting such an award at any level.
In his response, Hon. Muhammadu Halliru expressed appreciation for the recognition. He said the award would encourage him to do more for the people and continue supporting development efforts.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to serving humanity without discrimination and working with organizations that promote peace and education.
Some commentators described the honour as well deserved, saying Halliru’s efforts in supporting communities and vulnerable groups are clear and impactful. They added that his consistent humanitarian work has made a positive difference in the lives of many people in Kaita and Jibia.
The event, held on Friday, March 20, 2026, was attended by members and stakeholders of Qur’anic Education Advancement Network, as well as associates and supporters of Halliru, highlighting the importance of collaboration in community development.
