The Katsina State House of Assembly has continued the process of defending the 2026 budget estimates under the leadership of the Chairman of the House Committee on Budget and Appropriation, Honourable Lawal H. Yaro.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Honourable Nasir Yahaya Daura, paid a supervisory visit to the ongoing budget defence session at the Assembly complex, where he commended the committee for conducting the exercise in an orderly and transparent manner.
During the session, the Ministry of Information and all its departments defended their 2026 budget proposals, while the Ministry of Environment and its agencies also presented and defended their respective estimates.
In addition, the State Ministry of Justice appeared before the committee to defend its 2026 budget, alongside the Judicial Service Commission, which also presented and justified its proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
