The House Committee on Appropriation of Katsina State House of Assembly held the budget public hearing on Monday, November 10, 2025, where individuals and civil society groups presented meaningful contributions to the proposed budget.
Declaring the session open, the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Nasir Yahaya Daura, expressed delight over the high level of participation and support from the public in helping the government design a people-oriented budget.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, Honourable Lawal H. Yaro, described the meeting as an important avenue that gives citizens the opportunity to contribute directly to the budget process.
He assured that the committee would consider all suggestions presented before finalizing the budget draft and warned that any ministry or agency that failed to attend the session would not be captured in the final budget.
