Gov Radda Honoured with AI & Tech Award of Excellence

The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has received the AI & Tech Award of Excellence from the International Center for Islamic Culture and Education (Al-Noor Masjid, Abuja).

Hikaya Newspaper reports that the honour was conferred during the Future Leaders Conference 2025, held in Abuja from September 19th to 21st, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth empowerment, innovation, and leadership development. The award was presented by Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, Chief of Staff Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir delivered a keynote address. Governor Radda, through his message, expressed gratitude to the organisers for their commitment to nurturing future leaders and emphasized that leadership is built on responsibility, service, and integrity, not just talent. He called on young Nigerians to embrace innovation, uphold ethical values, and demonstrate digital fluency while leading with humility and compassion.

The Governor also used the occasion to commend parents, guardians, and facilitators for their sacrifices, describing them as the backbone of national progress. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to youth-focused initiatives in education, employment, and entrepreneurship, assuring participants of continued investment in programmes that enhance human capital. Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir further applauded the strong participation of young people at the conference, especially the near-equal representation of men and women.

The three-day Future Leaders Conference drew policymakers, experts, facilitators, and youth mentors from across Nigeria. The Award of Excellence conferred on Governor Radda highlights his administration’s vision of building the next generation of leaders through innovation and strategic investment in human capital.
