Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Professor Nentawe Yilwatda on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hikaya Newspaper reports that describing the appointment as well-deserved, Governor Radda said it reflects the APC’s commitment to competence, internal reform, and grassroots connection.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda noted that Prof. Yilwatda’s emergence comes at a critical point in the party’s journey, and expressed confidence that his leadership would bring renewed energy and clarity of direction to the APC. “Prof. Yilwatda is a forward-thinking leader with the intellectual depth and political maturity needed to lead the APC at this defining moment in our national history,” he stated.
The Governor also highlighted Prof. Yilwatda’s impressive background in academia, electoral administration, and public service. He described him as a man who understands the balance between policy, principle, and people, pointing out that his experience—as a former INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner and now Minister of Humanitarian Affairs—will be key in steering the party towards more people-centered progress.
Governor Radda further urged the new Chairman to continue promoting reforms and inclusivity within the party, expressing optimism that his leadership will bring greater unity and strategic direction. “On behalf of the Government and good people of Katsina State, I warmly congratulate Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and pray that Almighty Allah grants him the wisdom and strength to succeed in this national responsibility,” the Governor concluded.
