Dr. Bala Nuhu Kankia has called on his supporters and the people of Katsina State to unite and work towards ensuring the victory of all candidates nominated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Bala, a Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (KATSACA), made the call during a gathering organized by his newly established group, “Sadaukin Kankia Forum Supports Tinubu/Dikko Continuity 2027,” with the theme “APC Zama Daram,” held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Government Junior/Senior Secondary School, Kankia.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Bala reaffirmed his unwavering support for President and the Governor of Katsina State, , expressing his commitment to contributing toward their re-election bids in 2027. He explained that the forum was established to mobilize APC supporters, strengthen party unity, and promote government policies aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
He stated that although he sought the APC ticket to contest for a seat in the Katsina State House of Assembly in both 2023 and 2027, he did not secure the nomination due to the party’s consensus arrangement. According to him, the outcome did not make him bitter or cause him to oppose the party or its leadership. He emphasized that loyalty to the party and respect for its decisions remain more important than personal ambition.
Dr. Bala also described his appointment as Executive Secretary of KATSACA as a source of pride for Kankia Local Government Area and Katsina State. He noted that during his tenure, the agency recorded significant achievements in the fight against HIV/AIDS, including awareness campaigns and support programs, made possible through the support of the state government.
He expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections, citing the unity and stability within the party. He contrasted this with opposition parties such as the ADC and PDP, which he said were facing internal challenges. He therefore urged all APC members and supporters to work together in support of the party’s candidates at all levels.
Dr. Bala further advised APC supporters to remain patient, committed, and hardworking. He encouraged every party member to focus on securing votes at their respective polling units, stressing that grassroots mobilization is one of the most effective strategies for winning elections.
Some participants at the event expressed satisfaction with Dr. Bala’s message, describing it as a demonstration of loyalty, commitment, and dedication to the progress of the APC. They pledged to continue supporting the forum and working towards the party’s success in the 2027 elections.
